Experience: We urgently needed to change our flight itinerary so we were looking for a local pay-phone, of which there are none at JFK Terminal 4. As we are foreign travelers we had no cellular phone service available. In our desperation, Jesusita, in a very much empathetic and selfless attitude shared her phone with us to communicate with the airline’s call center which eventually solved our case within the required time frame. If it were not for Jesusita’s consideration and understanding of the situation we most probably would have lost our window to make changes while at the airport losing our chance to return back home in time. She was patient, took the time to understand our case and showed empathy all the way without leaving us, always being clear on what she could and could not be of help. Congratulations for having people that are really interested in helpings travelers.

I had an airline voucher for a taxi to JFK, she called the car company for me & directed me to where to wait, she came by to see if I was ok & still waiting for the car she called again & waited with me until the car actually did arrive a lot later than expected at which point I was panicking I would not make it to JFK to check in for my London flight. Experience: Ms Sharif was very friendly. She approached us as we obviously looked lost, and were about to exit the terminal in search of a taxi on an exceptionally chilly day. My mother was gingerly using a Walker, and Ms Sharif recommended we stay in the terminal longer to a later doorway, to minimize outdoor time. We were so appreciative, as she walked slowly, at my moms pace, not making her feel rushed. Once we got outside we realized staying inside for longer also allowed my mom to walk for longer on a smoother surface than the outdoor concrete. It may have seemed like a small thing, but made a big difference in our trip! More employees should be outgoing like Ms Sharif.

We were just hit with the fact that our housing cancelled on us and so we were trying to get to a general vicinity in the city, instead of an exact address while we sorted it out. We were totally bewildered and she took us under her wing, helped us purchase a metro card, directed us to the next several steps of our journey (even going so far as to pull them up on her phone and have us take a picture so we wouldn't get lost), and then making sure we got on the right bus. Experience: Michael Carey was trying to protect arriving passengers from the men who kept coming into the terminal offering rides. There was a sign to warn people that this activity is illegal and they will be "ripped off" if they accept such a ride, but many people do not read the sign. Mr. Carey walked over to some passengers who had just arrived who were talking to one of these men and pointed out the sign. The man started following Mr. Carey around harassing him, but Mr. Carey just kept his cool doing his job. There should be more employees like Michael Carey in the terminal to prevent illegal activities. Mr. Carey was the only one there that evening and the terminal was very busy. Mr. Carey is doing an excellent job.

Experience: I met Steven at the customer service desk at baggage claim in Newark's Terminal B. He listened as I explained that an airline had lost my bag, but that I was told the bag as "at ticketing". However, the airline that lost my bag no longer had any employees at the airport. Steven thought of a number of options to help me find my bag, and then waited with me as we worked through these options. He must have waited with me for 30 minutes. He acted not merely as a customer service agent, but more as my advocate as he spoke with various airport employees. Only because of Steven was I able to find the person who knew where my bag was being held. Steven exemplified patience, perseverance, creative thinking, and service. I am tremendously grateful for his help and I will never forget it.

The best thoughtful information Ms. Hunter provided was how to use mass transit (bus and train) to get from LGA AIRPORT to Manhattan NYC. Me. Hunter showed me how to use google maps to choose the appropriate form of transportation. Then she showed me how to interpret the information. Ms. Hunter also explain how to go about paying either by using in my case I have an IPhone wallet Pay or using a credit card in the event you don’t have cash. She explain how the transfer between buses or train system function. After the thorough explanation I felt confident enough to travel alone. Experience: Ms. Syeda helped me a lot in navigating my way to Metropark, NJ. I was traveling from La Guardia to Metropark, NJ but had no idea about the fasted route. Most of the time I travel in my car and have very little experience related to NYC public transportation. Having google Maps on had also didn't help really. Ms. Syeda gave me the exact and fastest route to reach Penn station from where I could connect with MTA. She asked me to take blue bus Q70 from Terminal C and get off at 72nd Street and take the E train to Penn Station. I was connected efficiently without any hassles and reached my destination on time. She also helped me get my metro pass as I was not much familiar with the machine. She was highly professional, diligent to the details, and caring and affectionate to me as well as another passenger as well who was having a hard time navigating their way out. Experience: Hi, I would like to give a brief acknowledgement about an employee of We Soar Higher. Her name is Darlene Hunter, and the company was listed as ERMC on the card that she gave me. Ms. Hunter was working as a traveler's assistant at Laguardia Airport, when I arrived on a Delta Airlines flight from Fort Lauderdale, in the middle of the afternoon on September 13, 2021. I was a bit confused about how to exit the terminal and make my way to public ground transportation, and she was very helpful. She put me completely at ease and knew exactly what bus I needed to take, when I told her where I had to go in Brooklyn. Besides that, she graciously informed me about the exact location of where the bus stopped and picked up passengers, as well as the best way to get to the bus stop -- and then, even what subway train options I would have, once I was on the bus. I really couldn't have asked for more, in terms of welcoming, caring treatment!

Our tired college freshmen daughter was connecting in Terminal A in EWR from just finishing exams at college in Montreal, Quebec to return home here in Richmond, Virginia (RIC). When she boarded her plane to RIC she quickly realized she had left behind her duty free gift bag full of Christmas presents— mostly Canadian maple treats!— where she was sitting at the gate. Experience: We had just flown into LGA and did not how to get from the airport into Manhattan. We were told to take the Air Train to a site to catch the LIRR. The problem was the hotel who told us this thought we were at JFK! We had matinee theater tickets and needed to get to the hotel quickly to change and get there. I Bou Fouss was very very helpful in explaining that there is no Air Train yet at LGA ug it is simple to take a bus to Rosevelt Station and then which subway to get close to our hotel. Plus she took the time to explain the subway ticket system and that we have to validate the card and keep the ticket before getting on the bus. We would have never known that. We rarely use the Airtrain between terminals but it was necessary on our late evening arrival to Terminal A. The airport representative, Andrea, was one of the most helpful, informative and customer-centered people I have witnessed in over 50 years of air travel. She announced train arrivals and departures in a very clear manner and made sure EVERYONE knew the details for people’s eventual correct destinations- especially the train for the rental lot versus inter-terminal. I have seen many travel assistance airport personnel just sit on their hands and not do their jobs, but it was incredible that she was willing to do at 11pm at night and willingly and pleasantly. It restores my faith that every and any job is worth doing well and she embodies that spirit.

Experience: To Whom It May Concern: We received above and beyond, soaringly good customer service from Steven Koffa at Newark International Aiport in Terminal B last week on Wednesday December 15th. My husband and I returned home from Atlanta with our luggage locked and the keys to open them lost. The TSA agents in Atlanta had popped open the locks when I explained this so they could rummage around in our bags, but then relocked them!!! We tried to get assistance from TSA when we arrived at EWR, but were told that for security reasons, they couldn't open our bags unless it was to search them. We were desperate to get them open before leaving the airport when we asked Steven for help. While he went looking for a maintenance worker who could help us, someone came along who was able to clip the locks. We so appreciated Steven's efforts that we waited for him to return to thank him rather than just walking off.

On my way to exit the airport, I had briefly spoken to them to ask a question about the taxi wait time. Subsequent to that I walked over to the ride share area where I then realized I lost my wallet. I ran back to the area I last knew I had it and there was Ms. Platellas holding my wallet for safe keeping. She told me I dropped it and they both ran around looking for me. My wallet had everything in it and had it not been found, I would've lost out on important events I had happening the next day that I could not re-create. They saved me big time so this acknowledgement is major!!

Experience: I’ll never be grateful enough to Tommaso Rossi who helped me out of the worse situation I have ever been in. I stupidly had checked in a suitcase that I was supposed to keep as a cabin luggage. In this suitcase were 3 months of vital medications…And as I was wandering in the airport in total panic, looking for someone that could help me , here comes this young man that probably had noticed that I needed to be helped. I surely did! And not only did he help me through a long (probably more than one hour) stressful and difficult process to recuperate this suitcase (which had no name, no company tag on…) but he did it with the greatest kindness one can imagine. We were already booked on the new flight, but just needed a new tags. My partner was on a crutch and he insisted to help us stating that he would do the same for everyone else as well. We felt bad because he did have to take a lot of heat of from other customers who were waiting in line. He reaffirmed us that it was okay and assisted us all the way until our luggages checked onto our next flight. He didn’t have to offer us help since my partner was not on the wheelchairs and was able to walk on a crutch, but he did. I was impressed how well and calm he handled the situation while other customers who were kind of rude as we were helped. Thank you again for assisting us. We really appreciate your assistance and I hope that some of these customers will learn to be a little more patience and kind.

Experience: For our first time to come to NYC together, as we wanted to experience a NYC Christmas for the first time as a married couple of 34 years, our first experience of Christmas was with Venessa’s extraordinary hospitality and seemingly going out of her way to give us directions to get to our bus, teach us how to use MTA, and then to again guide us in the direction we should leave the airport. It started our NY.C Christmas with a special first gift! (And our time in NYC was very special)

Experience: When I called the company with which I had booked a shuttle out of LGA, they informed me that all shuttles had been cancelled, leaving me with no way to get home. Kavita saw me talking on the phone and noticed I was clearly nervous and upset. She called the company again for me and managed to get them to clarify my reservation, confirmed that the shuttle was on its way, and perfectly explained how to get to the part of the airport where I'd be picked up. She was incredibly nice and kind without making me feel stupid for needing a little help. She deserves so much praise, especially for watching out for young women traveling alone and making them feel safe!

Experience: I want to pass on my thanks to Berkeley Smith at Newark NJ airport for his excellent help while we were there. He is with ERMC and was working in Terminal C. We were searching for how to find where to sign up for the TSA Clear program and were having trouble finding it. We asked Berkeley for help and he was very friendly and provided excellent directions for where to go that worked perfectly. We followed his directions and got to the right place with no problems. We got signed up with no problems. As you know, the Newark airport is very confusing. We would not have been able to navigate our way through where to go without Berkeley's help. We backtracked his directions and when we saw him again, I thanked him for his excellent directions and wonderful help. I wanted you to know how helpful he was as well. Thanks!
