We then saw the I love NY info center - just looking for ideas for summer holidays. Darlene came up to us with the best line - "Why look at a computer when a friendly person is right here to help you?" She was so kind and helpful - and when we explained that we were not out-of- towners needing info for NYC - she still helped us find great places in the NY State region to have fun this summer. Darlene wasn't just approachable - she approached us with a giant, kind greeting! Even though we came to see the amazing artwork, Darlene left the biggest impression of the our visit to Terminal B.

Experience: I had dropped my father off at DIA earlier that morning and hadn’t heard from him. My brother called me from EWR and informed me that our dad, Peter Yahr wasn’t at the arrivals pick up. More than 30 minutes had gone by and we became concerned. Our dad is mobility impaired and is a 5 time cancer survivor. His phone was off and we couldn’t find him. I called the customer service line for EWR and Sharon answered. She was amazing. She helped find my father and coordinate pick up with my brother. She notified us of his location and that he was safe. I’m very grateful for her help. Thank you Sharon!

Experience: On 6/11 for the first time in my life I missed my flight from NYC to MIAMI to LAX. I was petrified and defeated because I wasn’t sure what would happen next. I even came to the desk with a slight attitude which is not normally me. Sandra Cruz at rebooking gate D1 provided me with excellent customer service and helped me re book my flight and provide me stand by’s for both flights. As well as provided me with actual flights just in case we didn’t make those. She calmed me down and gave me confidence to believe I’d catch the next stand by flight. Over all amazing experience and I was blessed to have someone practice extreme kindness dealing with a customer who was overwhelmed. Please reward Sandra with some acknowledgment. Experience: On this Friday June 11, I had to be at terminal 4 Delta Company to welcome a childhood and former boss I hadn't seen in 13 years. He was coming from Indianapolis and was supposed to land at 3 pm. So I was there very excited and happy to meet him. All of sudden, a feeling of anxiety and confusion replaced my joy. It was 3:45 and no sign of him. I am suffering with anxiety and depression and things get complicated for me very easily. I started panicking at around 4 and an angelic lady approached me. The details would be so long to address, but please let me just say that Sarie Pilgrim was literally an angel to me. I was overwhelmed with perplexity and highly upset with anxiety which triggered my acid reflux. I became sick and highly stressed. At that moment, this angel touched me with kindness and helped me manage both my sickness and anxiety. I can not thank her enough. She saved me and my visit with my friend.

Experience: I recently had the pleasure of flying through LGA airport. My flight came in to C terminal but my car was parked at B. I was looking for help in how to navigate the airport as well as seating for my aging father and approached Ms Darlene Hunter with ERMC. I explained my situation and was not prepared for the level of help I received. She definitely went above and beyond securing a wheelchair for my father who was having trouble with the amount of walking. She not only made him feel more comfortable about sitting in the wheelchair, she gave me specific instructions on how to find my vehicle once I told her where I parked it. She even came back to make sure I had it all right. I’ve been through LaGuardia a few times but this was by far my most pleasant experience. Ms Hunter is for sure a great addition to your team. He asked where I was going to make sure I was on the right but and helped make sure I knew which stop to get off of. He even pointed me in the right direction after I got off the bus through the window. After a grueling 18 hours of travel, it was so refreshing to have a friendly presence help me on the other side. I was rushing with my bags but Luis made sure I knew it was going to be ok. I felt taken care of and welcomed back to my home town of New York in a sweet and wonderful way - setting the tone for my trip. They say New Yorkers are mean, but Luis proves the stereotype wrong. He proves that New Yorkers are the best kind of people around.

Experience: I was tired and frustrated. I had been up since 2:30 a.m. to catch an American Airlines flight from Greenville, SC to Charlotte, NC. After departing from SC, American Airlines canceled my connecting flight to JFK Airport in NYC. After a lot of hassle, I was finally able to board a flight as “stand by” into LaGuardia. It was so nice that this young lady was available after I retrieved my suitcase from Baggage Claim to tell me what terminal I was in and how to get to Parking Lot J for pickup by Uber.

Experience: Traveling to the city with two of my children without my husband, I was in charge of many things. I had placed my cell phone in my pocket while getting on the AirTrain. When I approached the rental car area, I realized I had lost my phone. Using another persons phone I called it a few times when finally Nilda answered it. She had taken it upon herself to keep the phone secure so that I could go back to terminal B and retrieve it. I am a real estate agent and rely heavily on my phone. Nilda saved my vacation and so much more for me and my children. I could not thank her enough. I tried to give her a monetary acknowledgment of my appreciation but she declined it. Experience: My 95 year old Dad was returning to Atlanta today after visiting with my children, husband and me in NJ for the past few weeks. He is frail and has an injury from a recent fall, so he walks slowly and with a cane/walker. After parking in P4 and taking the elevator to the AirTrain area, we were immediately greeted by a woman named Nilda M (badge # 6300547410). She was friendly and encouraged my Dad to sit on the bench and then proactively offered to order a wheelchair for him, He and I were both impressed with her proactivity and appreciative of her kindness and helpfulness. I had thought that it would be difficult to locate a wheelchair and that we'd have to wait for one, but Nilda called over to someone such that the wheelchair was waiting for us when we stepped off the AirTrain in Terminal B. The whole experience was seamless! Nilda was also very sweet to my 11 year old daughter. I tried to give Nilda a tip, but she absolutely refused.

Experience: I wish every airport has the super helpful red coats! Not every airport uses a rental car shuttle and some are larger than others. I know from experience the hassle of trying to read the board while in a hurry and/or missing the correct stop. It's especially helpful to have someone like Adam, quickly ask your airline, and he gives you only the info you need, nothing more (so it doesn't confuse you). The short sound bite is helpful to repeat to my kids so they are on the look out too. Helpful to train future young travelers! Experience: Arrived at JFK to collect my sister and her family and had some questions about where to wait (nowhere, as it turns out, but I digress), and spotted a “welcome” person. She explained why I couldn’t wait in baggage claim as I used to, or even inside the building, technically. I was quite early for the flight and so had plenty of time to pepper Janie with all sorts of questions, like how to get from short term parking to the terminal entrance to load people and their bags (turns out you can’t get there from here. Not easily anyway, but again I digress), She was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and, as importantly as far as I’m concerned, just darn nice! In between helping others, Janie and I got chatting - where we were from, who I was meeting (3 adults and a carrot-top baby), etc. It was, in short, a delightful way to spend the hour or so that I had to wait for the plane, all thanks to Janie!

We were traveling for the 1st time in over a year with our 1 and 3 year olds, our dog, and 4 large suitcases. Angela came over to us without us asking for help and swiftly helped my wife to the 1st Uber that we had booked (we needed 2 since with all of our belongings, family members, and dual stroller- one Uber would not suffice). She looked back at me and said she’d be back to help me as well. Which she did without question and I struggled to push 4 suitcases and hold my daughters hand and carry the dog. Service like this, especially in today’s world, is few and far between and I am quite thankful for her friendliness, kind disposition, and helping hands. Experience: While traveling can generally be a stressful anxiety inducing experience, Oneika saw to it that ours was anything but. Upon arrival at the counter, she informed us that we were in need of further documentation. Rather than simply push us to the side to fend for ourselves (which she very well could have) she took the time and saw to it that we were fully aware of the options at our disposal. Any questions we had, she answered and not in an annoyed manner but in a manner that showed genuine concern for us and our situation. She saw our case to the very end and made sure not only was our paperwork submitted to the proper places but also that we had our own hard copy with which to travel. While in this day and age people forget the meaning of customer service and are quick to push you to the side, Oneika is quite the breath of fresh air. I can only hope that each of my future trips to the airport mirror the standard that Oneika has set. Thank you!

When Luis dropped myself and another passenger off we were told by another shuttle driver that Avis had stopped running even though they were not supposed to. We called Avis with no answer. Luis was still there so we asked if he could drop us off at Avis. After checking with the supervisor to make sure it was ok he drove us both to Avis and pointed out where to go.
